These are the kids' favorite books right now:
Stephen likes "Hush Little Alien", and we read it at least 10 times a day lately. Last night, he even started singing it to himself. Stephen seems to enjoy singing books more than regular books -- his other favorites are the Raffi books "Baby Beluga" and "The Wheels on the Bus". He sings those, too.
Sophie likes "Oh, Baby!", a touch and feel book. She always pulls it out of the bookshelf, no matter where it is, and seems to enjoy the mobile part the best, although today she was making faces at herself in the mylar mirror and petting the teddy bear's fur. I think she likes the baby pictures, too, as she giggles at them. She seems far more interested in reading than Stephen was at her age, too.
We had a very laid-back day yesterday, just took it easy at home. Ah. Sometimes it's nice not to do anything. Well, we did drive to Stratham to get Sophie to nap, and also to get some bargain Lindt (Mommy's chocolate craving...), and then stopped at BJ's Warehouse on the way back. That's where I get weighed (there's a scale by the pharmacy), and I found I've lost another three pounds since the last time I was there, making a total of about 35 pounds since January! Woo hoo! The secret to my success: breastfeeding. Is there anything it can't do?
Stephen's going through a ton of paper every day -- he loves to draw. Nearby friends, if you have a source for scrap paper, we could use it! Robyn has already volunteered some, and David says he can get some from work, but this boy draws *a lot*. I'll scan in some of them soon and post them.
More planning for the DC trip... hope I'll be able to squeeze everything into three days!
