Not much today.
Aug. 17th, 2004 09:05 pmPretty blase day -- woke up late (had trouble sleeping last night), puttered around after breakfast, sewed a sling, logged in for a bit, walked to the Post Office, bairnes in tow -- it was a nice walk, beautiful day, if a bit hot -- played at the library for a bit, walked home. Then Sophie had a lap-nap while I did some random computer stuff, Stephen watched a movie, David came home, I made dinner, came up here to log in.
Exciting thing: we'll be visiting Kristen in Baltimore on our way to DC! Hurray! I haven't seen Kristen since the last time David got sent down there (in 2001), so this is very exciting. And, she has a LJ account, but it's friends-only, so I won't link to it. (Robyn and Eryk, if you notice you've been friended by someone seemingly random, that's her.) Can't wait to see her, and her new house! Well, not so new anymore, but still.
I've decided my drive-to-DC project will be a small quilt: Interlaced Blocks. I think I have enough fabric. If I can piece it this week, I'll be able to quilt it in the car. I'll need something to keep me busy; we plan to split driving, probably switching off every 2 hours, but aside from Connecticut, the drive down is not exactly thrilling.
Soon it will be bedtime, and tomorrow, we'll do it all again. And life is good.
