There's no adequate atheist equivalent expression for "dear god in heaven", but, dear god in heaven, USPS is so friggin' slow today!!! I use Click n' Ship for my labels, because you get free delivery confirmation and sort of tracking, but it's taken more than 40 minutes to get my 5 labels processed. I'm seeing at least 3 minutes between each page. I would just write them out by hand, but I really like having the DC and tracking, so I'll just whine instead.

Plus I've caught up with all my LJ friends' journals, and  the one forum I go to is being awfully quiet, so there isn't even anything for me to read while I wait. (pout)

Oh, come on. There's always fanfic. I mean, I'm sure there are things you never knew about Jayne and Simon's relationship.

Erm... yes... and things I'm sure I'd never in a lifetime want to know

Fanfic... shudder.

Hello...I was hoping to share the article you wrote (Breastfeeding, Formula, and Guilt), with a few people on my personal journal and in my LJ community. I was wondering if you'd mind if I shared it? I would credit you, of course, and provide a link to your site.

Thank you!

Feel free :) I've gotten a couple of responses to it (one basically saying I was too harsh -- it's society's fault women don't breastfeed; the other saying I wasn't harsh enough -- she had all kinds of problems, and if she could do it, so could anyone else), but would love to hear more :)

I personally agree with every point you made. You weren't harsh- you were being entirely truthful! It's an awesome article, and it brings out a point that I've been trying to make, but really couldn't say in my own words.

Thanks!

Thanks :) It bugs me that the women who feel the most guilt -- the ones who tried, or really wanted to breastfeed, and couldn't -- are the ones who ought to feel the least; and the ones who just cavalierly say, "Oh, formula's just as good" and don't even bother trying are the ones who feel no guilt at all :P

USPS is a little bitch. They irriate me to no end.

P.S. I loved your essay on breastfeeding and would love to be added as a friend :)
