Thanks to everyone who offered sympathy in my last post -- it means a lot to me, and I wish I had the typing abilities to reply to each comment separately -- unfortunately, I'm finding out just how much I depend on my first two fingers!!

Here's the note Stephen made for me -- it was hanging on the inside of the door when I got back from the ER:



He wrote it completely by himself -- hence the spellings :) The hand with the heart in it totally cracks me up.

And if you're curious to see how the fingers are looking as of this morning (I was allowed to wash with warm soapy water starting today), click here (a link, not a LJ cut). But be warned, it's pretty gross. Not as bad as the night of the accident, when my finger was also all puffy from the lidocaine and saline injection, but still not pretty.

So, that's how I've been lately :P

Whoa -- I didn't think anyone would actually notice.

I have been back twice to read since I left in -- gee, when was it? September? October? November? Sometime before xmas -- just to check on the pregnant folks and the ones I really liked (I'm glad you have a LJ!). I miss Julie C. a lot -- she is so cool. But I realized I was spending far, far too much time on TPW, and neglecting things I should have been doing, plus I was feeling as though I had so little in common in terms of philosophy with the majority of posters, it would be less stressful to spend my time on the (one) forum I currently read that is directly related to my business (thebabywearer.com). I don't know if you'd want to pass along that Stephen is doing really well in Kindergarten, and it was just a matter of me not having as much time to spend on the forum, but I'd appreciate it if you might :) And thanks for the link!

I am in contact with Jan, and she says that Stephen is doing really well in Kindergarten and her leaving TPW was just a matter of her not having as much time to spend on the forum.
