So. Yes. It has been a stupid long time since the last time I wrote. I'm sorry. Everytime I open my Friends page, I think, "I've really got to update my LJ," and then I never do. Ah well.

What's happened since August 30: Sophie turned one on Oct. 2; Bush lied and cheated found his way into the White House again. The kids are great; the country is FUCKING STUPID. Oh well.

Highlights from the last 2.5 months:

  • Stephen is potty-trained! Actually, he has been for a while, but of course I haven't mentioned it. His drawings have been getting better and more involved; one of these days, I'll sit down and scan some of them for display on the site.

  • Sophie took her first steps a week before her birthday, at the Children's Museum in Boston, and started walking full-time about two weeks after her birthday. Now she's nearly running. She's even started squirming to get down when she's in the sling and wants to walk. However, she'll walk for only about 50 paces before wanting to come back up. So far, anyway.

  • Sling sales have been decent through fall, though November has been wicked slow. Still doing custom orders, but apparently Nov. is a lull for a lot of businesses.

  • Web design is very slow too. Just one new client (SMA -- I will get back to you about that, Kristen!) and a few of the older ones want work.

  • Saw "The Incredibles" in the theatre on Sunday -- first movie that DH and I have seen in the theatre since Return of the King. Sophie stayed with David's parents, and we took Stephen by himself. He liked it, but it was a lot more violent than Pixar's previous films. Still, amazing animation!

  • I've lost 40 lbs this year! Hurray for breastfeeding!

Lowlights:

I'll try to update more frequently... maybe downloading a client will help.
