Well, okay, when you work from home, every day is effectively a snow day (or, I suppose, a sun day in the summer), but still.

Mom was going to come visit, but the roads are in terrible shape. Stephen had been really looking forward to her visit, so after I got off the phone with her, he cried for a bit, and then started brainstorming ways he thought she could still come:
  • She could put a plow on her car!
  • She could walk here!
  • She could fly in a plane!
  • A tow-truck could bring her car here!
He's so cute. He's now resigned to her not coming today, but it looks like she'll come up next weekend -- there's an orchestra concert on Sunday, and it's always nice to have an extra pair of hands on concert days. Plus, you know, Mom :) I feel quite lucky to have her, esp. after reading about other peoples' mothers. Mine's a peach!

Pardon the mess... I tend to just clean up at the end of the day, because if I try to do it during the day, while the kids are playing, it's just too futile.

Thanks! She's a sweetie, too. Though she has discovered the joy of tantrums of late. Whee!

The best part actually was that each one was preceeded by, "I have an idea!"

Thanks :) I wish I had my sister's talent with the camera, though; I love our little Canon, but lighting is a perpetual problem.

Let's see... Schubert's unfinished, the Blue Danube waltz (yay, 10 minutes of oom CHUCK CHUCK... the second violins *never* get the melody!), and Billy the Kid. It's a Copland-heavy semester, as we're doing Appalachian Spring next concert, and then there's the opera. We'd be happy to have you there :)
