Way too hot
Apr. 20th, 2005 04:00 pm80+ in April? This is Not Right.
Nonetheless, got a fair amount done today.
AND... I'm typing this on the Shiny! New! Laptop! at the kitchen table! Whee!
I was going to type the details of my day, but really, it's so dull. So here are some highlights:
Took the kids to the pizza place and then the park after doing my sewing, banking, and shipping. They had a great time playing, but wow, is it hot outside! We took the "bike house" (aka bike trailer) on our errands; Stephen *adores* riding in it. We get a lot of comments from passers-by, too, mostly to the effect of "Hey, that's the way to travel!" Yeah, if you're in the back :) (I was trying to calculate how much I'm towing -- the kids weigh 55 lbs together, the trailer adds another 15, and my bike is probably about 15 lbs, too, so what, 85 lbs altogether? My thighs are going to be rock-hard by the end of summer!)
I got all my files moved over to the Shiny! New! Laptop! despite having to set the old computer up again and re-upload some files that I seem to have missed last time. I use my MP3 player (external hard drive -- this thing *rocks*) as the transporter. I know a lot of you guys have iPods, but this blows them out of the water, trust me. The only complaint is that it's a little big, but I'll live with that for built-in FM radio, 40 Gig storage, ability to play OGG and other weird file formats, and no need for proprietary software.
Now I'm avoiding doing all the computer work that I've been putting off. I've got at least three sites that want attention, but I just don't feeeeeel like doing it. I always got in trouble for that at school, too... you'd think I'd learn. But no.
Oh! And Sophia is, for the second day in a row, napping in bed instead of on my lap! Hurray! She still needs to nurse to sleep, but that's okay -- I'm freeeeee! Sort of :)
