Summer fun

Visited my friend Cheryl today at her new house in the boonies. It took about 30 minutes to get there, but it's gorgeous! The whole development is log homes. Theirs has a nice front porch with a swing, everything is wood, exposed beams, etc. Mom would love it. Not enough trees in the back yard, but they can grow some. I am quite envious, but now is not the time for us to be househunting, unfortunately. Braeden is talking up a storm, at 2 years and 4 months, and is such a sweet little boy. He and Stephen have a lot of fun together -- I should go get the camera and upload the pictures right this instant, but I'm too lazy. Stephen and Braeden played with the hose and "painted" with water on the house, getting soaked in the process. Cheryl is due with her second at the beginning of October (a year after Sophie was born!), but I'm not sure where she's going to put two more months worth of baby! She looks great, though, and still has a lot of energy. Don't know where she gets it :) I miss having her close by. We met when she lived 3 doors down from us. Ah well. C'est la vie.

I need more mom friends. I really ought to start going to LLL meetings, but something always comes up. Well, there's an open Storytime at the library tomorrow, so I'll try to get the kids up for that. Oh, shoot, and sew 3 more slings. Rats.
