I probably should be a little stressed

But I'm really not. It's only a 5-day trip. I have been a little uneasy about the drive down -- a bit worried about the increased possibility of a crash, just because we're driving so far, but I suspect that's healthy, in that it will help me be a more cautious driver. The packing is no big deal; if we forget something, it's not like we're going to Outer Mongolia -- there are stores in Greenbelt. I'm *really* looking forward to seeing Kristen again. Plus, there are not one, but two Ikea stores in the vicinity of where we'll be staying -- one in College Park and one in Baltimore. So we'll probably stop at the one in Baltimore on the way back up. Happy happy! Probably a Trader Joe's down there, too. Will have to check. It'd be nice to get trail food there for our days in the city.

Stephen seems excited as well -- I showed him a picture of the guidebook, with Lincoln on the cover, so now he wants to go see "Yinkon". Sophie, of course, has no idea what's going on :) I just hope she sleeps well on the journey!

Anyway, I may or may not be able to check email or log in while we're there, so if you write and your query goes unanswered, it'll be because I can't get connected. But we'll see :)

Wave on the way through Delaware--you're going right by us if I have your itinerary right. :)

There *IS* a Trader Joe's

It's a little tricky to give directions to, but there is a Trader Joe's in Towson, just north of Baltimore. There is also one (I think) in DC - either on Connecticut or On Wisconsin (! On, Wisconsin! Plunge right through that line! Run the ball clear 'round Chicago, A touchdown sure this time. On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin! Fight on for her fame Fight! Fellows! - fight, fight, fight! We'll win this game.) I can look it up and let you know. I can't WAIT to see you tomorrow!

Any dietary preferences I should know about before I figure out where we go for dinner? Kid friendly, I know, but beyond that?

Should I be alarmed, by the way that I think of the Wisconsin Fight Song whenever I find myself talking about something On Wisconsin Ave.?

Ooh, thanks! I saw the one in Bethesda on Wisc. Ave, but wasn't sure how far out of the way that would be. I'll look up the Towson one, and see if we can stop there on our way down, or maybe after dinner.

As far as dietary preferences... pretty much our only thing is that we're not keen on chain restaurants. Small and unique is good :) Thanks!

Hee :) I'm not sure we're actually driving through Delaware, but there may be a small segment through it. Have to check the directions. We'll certainly wave, though.
