You know what's hard to find?

A toothbrush holder that holds 5 brushes, particularly the giant-handle type that are so ubiquitous for kids. Right now we're just using a cup, but it gets *so* gross *so* quickly. I'd like something that actually hangs them up, but haven't found anything at any of the big box stores. Even Amazon is turning up empty.

Little things :)

Jan, speaking as your sister, you should absolutely get this one. It's full of win!

I think I'm going to have to concur  Not exactly grown-up looking, but it's awfully cute!

OMG, I have to get it! If only because:

Two suckers on the reverse to attach your lovely Whale Toothbrush Holder on the wall or mirror with full of fun.

I need full of fun!

That's cute! I wish I could figure out how to order there

Take advantage of your skills and Dave's and make on out of wood or plastic. I think that's what we did when you were a child in a family of 5.

We have no skills -- lol! I remember the one you made. It was nice :)

Around these parts we keep 'em in the medicine cabinet (http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1317/does-flushing-the-toilet-cause-dirty-water-to-be-spewed-around-the-bathroom).

Ew ew ew. I wish we had a medicine cabinet in the bathroom. Oddly, there isn't one:

Does it help if we keep the lid closed when flushing?

[identity profile] dreamalynn.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
Keeping the lid closed is the best thing, yes. The only other thing I'd suggest is keeping the toothbrushes as far away as possible and maybe with those travel covers on the bristles.

ugh, I know, we have resorted to a toothbrush holder and cup for the kids brushes and I saw fruit flies in the bottom of that cup! I'd like some sort of wall mount system.

Check out the first one in these comments! It's pretty cute

Unfortunately, the first one wouldn't hold our toothbrushes -- they all have wide bases. Second one is interesting, though!
