Too bad I have only two weeks left...

... I can't really justify this, but oooooh, how I want it... and it even comes in my size!

Because once you get beyond two kids, *everyone* assumes the third wasn't planned :P Like it's impossible to actually *want* more than two. Feh.

Dammit, I wish I had seen that about 6 months ago.

I know!

Did you get a lot of "Was it planned?" questions, too? I imagine a lot were also "Oh, trying for a girl, right?"

People are just dumb :P

*laughing*

You should see the looks I got.

10 year old, 7 year old and pregnant. :) Of course technically I didnt birth the 10 and 7 year old...but they're still mine.

And the fact that we *might* have another...

Good for you, I say  Maybe pick up a shirt for next time? ;)

Cute, and in a good range of sizes. I'm stunned, actually!

But you have the "perfect family", a boy and a girl. Why on earth would you want another one?

/debates buying one for herself

You'd be surprised at how often I've been told that. Mostly by DH's family, which adds to the obnoxiousness. In fact, my family never even considered that this one wasn't planned, but it was the first question his mother -- and others on that side -- asked :P

I really feel I must have the "not now, I'm gestating" shirt.

 That's a good one!

OMG I WANT ONE! =)

Gosh, I want *at least* 3! (Of course, Mark thinks once I have ONE, the trauma of childbirth will change my mind.)

[identity profile] jan-andrea.livejournal.com 2007-12-12 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
You'd be surprised how quickly the "trauma" fades from memory. I had a ton of pain when Sophia was born, but you know, as soon as they're out, you feel *so* much better (it's practically instantaneous), and after she was out, I was like, "Yeah! Let's do it again!" I don't know if that's true with a C-section, but having had two, I'm not any more scared to have another.

Almost makes me want to get pg again just so I can wear about 9 of these. (Wish they made a single shirt with all the phrases...) (And no, I really don't want to get pregnant again.)

My favorite would be the one about "no, I don't want to hear about how you only gained 15 lbs." In fact, I got so sick of that one that I eventually started responding with a look of shocked horror and the question, "Oh my God, was your baby okay? Wow, you were very lucky he did all right!" The well-meaning grammyladies in my church were driving me nuts. And I was a forty pounder both times.

And I am, by the way, in AWE that at 38 weeks you can even contemplate making a gingerbread house. I never even made it to 38 weeks, but by 34 I was pretty much useless... Good luck and good labor to you!
peace,
Jem

Don't hate me, but I've gained 17 lbs total. Then again, I started out at least 50+ lbs overweight (and that's from my "personal" weight goal -- if I went by BMI, it would be closer to 75 lbs), so I don't know that it's quite the same as someone of "normal" weight boasting about that  I eat all the time -- it's just that pregnancy gives me a metabolism I usually don't have :)

The gingerbread house... I dunno. The dough was way too sticky to roll out yesterday, so I added a ton of flour and put it back in the fridge to cool again. I'm going to try to roll it out again this afternoon, but if it's still too sticky, I'll just buy the kit, partially hydrogenated ingredients list be damned!
