No toilet

No toilet

This is what happens when your kids are in the bathroom alone, which previously has not been a problem, and one of them decides to launch a toy boat just as the other is flushing. At least the plumber was able to remove the boat from the toilet, so we don't have to buy a new toilet (which, in the landlord's preferred color, is $$$), but we will have been two nights without an upstairs bathroom, and damnit, getting up and having to walk downstairs in the middle of the night to pee is a first-world discomfort I'd rather do without.

I'm curious why the toilet was taken out of the immmediate area. Couldn't he just pull out the boat and replace the toilet? Or did it have to go to the shop for boat extraction surgery?

He tried for about 20 minutes to get it out whilst in the bathroom (first with the toilet still attached to the plumbing, then having removed it, trying from the underside), but no dice. It went to the shop to have the boatectomy.
