So, I'm thinking about this...

I turned 30 on June 17th. Into my fourth decade, hurrah!

I have been considering a small nostril piercing to celebrate. There's a place just up the street that does piercings. I've read up on it, and it sounds like the nostril is a fairly easy one to have done. I think I'd want a pretty small stud, rather than a ring. But I don't want it to look stupid, and I don't want to regret it in a couple of years. And I also don't really want certain family members (mostly Nana) to flip out if/when she sees it.

So, what do you think? Is this a passing pre-mid-life-crisis? Would I be a poser? Would teenagers laugh at me? Would Sophia yank it out of my nose? Should I try wearing bindi there for a while and see if I like the look of it, before taking the plunge? Help me decide, for I am the queen of indecision!

Do it do it do it! It would go well with the mendhi'd hands and such. Actually, I really do think it would look good on you. But you can always try bindi first, just to see.

Next, Mom and I will be getting tattoos!

I think I'll do bindi for a while, both to see what it would look like, and to see how Sophia reacts -- she's still a little face-grabber, and I worry that she would rip out (or at least highly irritate) a fresh piercing. Plus there's the whole allergy season thing... I wouldn't really be able to do it until winter with that.

More to ponder...
