Once again, I am a bad live journalist.
I haven't disappeared; I'm just, well, more or less content with life right now. Still want that third baby, still in limbo with that, but no point worrying about things I can't immediately change, eh? Guess I've discovered my zen there.
Kids are great, still enjoying school a lot (though not so much getting up at 7, no matter how early they go to bed -- Stephen, like me, has a hard time going to sleep at night). Stephen's taking tae kwon do at a local place, which he enjoys; Sophie has moderated her behaviour somewhat, though who knows how long this stage will last :)
I had a mention in Mothering magazine (the Jan/Feb issue, which was devoted to babywearing) -- as one of the recommended ring slings -- and so I'm as busy as I want to be, which is cool. Mostly I take as many orders as I can fit into the morning while Soph's at school, which works nicely.
I'm posting right now because I'm listening to the Brahms "German Requiem," which we did a couple/three years ago in the orchestra. Since the adults have been split from the students, I don't know if I'll get another chance to play in a large-scale work like that again, but it's great to "relive" the moments from the recording. What a fantastic piece! (And you know it's good when a rabid atheist praises an essentially religious work.)
